Type
These hobs feature flat plates that are heated by electric elements. Heat generated in this way is not as instant as by gas.
Ceramic hobs feature a glass plate with electric heating elements sealed underneath.Some ceramic hobs feature halogen lamps that generate instant heat, making them a practical alternative to gas hobs. Ceramic hobs are easier to clean than other types of hob as the top surface is a large, smooth plate of very tough glass.
These hobs feature gas burners, offering instantly controllable heat.
Dual fuel hobs offer gas burners and electric plates in the same hob unit.
Size
The traditional, four-zone hob.
Any hob that has more than four cooking zones.
A small, two-zone hob that can be used alone or fitted with others to form a unique cooking area. Domino units can be obtained in a variety of types including gas hobs, electric hobs, ceramic hobs, griddles, fryers and specialist applications.

Colour
Although manufacturers often use specific and sometimes confusing names to describe their colour options (such as Natural Linen, Zircon and Anthracite), we have simplified all colour names (in the case of the above; to beige, silver and black). It is hoped that this method is of benefit to our customers but please refer to the detail pages or to our qualified sales personal if you are in doubt as to the true colour of a hob. Please also note that where a photograph of a particular hob is not available, a picture of the same model in a different colour may be substituted. This does not mean that the model you order will be incorrect.
