MIELE'S PLEDGE OF QUALITY
To ensure that Miele appliances will stand the test of time and give unbeatable performance for up to 20 years, we really put them through their paces in our test laboratories before full production commences.
No other brand can claim such a strong commitment to quality, reliability and durability. Miele dishwashers are designed and tested for one load a day for 20 years.
The door springs on our dishwashers are guaranteed for the lifetime of the appliance.
Dishwashers with the waterproof system are guaranteed against flooding.
Tests include
Running a 75°C programme for 7,500 cycles — this equates to one load a day for more than 20 years.
Putting the door through 100,000 opening and closing cycles – the equivalent of 13 cycles a day for more than 20 years.
Pulling baskets out and pushing them back in 100,000 times fully loaded — which equates to one wash a day for more than 273 years!

OPTIMUM CARE
Sensors. Not knowing which programme to use for different types and soiling levels of crockery and glassware has all too frequently resulted in users simply selecting the longest programme with the highest temperature as a last resort, glass in particular reacts very sensitively to soft water and excessively high temperatures. Miele dishwashers have sensors to help overcome these problems.
The GlassCare system. To protect your glassware, the Miele GlassCare system includes a unique sensor controlled water softener, which electronically controls the hardness level of the water entering the cabinet at wash temperatures of up to 55°C. In addition, the new baskets offer a variety of secure positions in which to place the glasses.
Miele’s cutlery tray — the original. Clever design makes a unique third wash level possible in Miele's SC model dishwashers. Because each item sits securely in its own slot, it doesn’t touch any other piece of cutlery and water runs off freely, assuring you of excellent washing and drying results. You can even wash stainless steel and silver cutlery in the same load without damaging your silverware.
Two in one: the divided cutlery tray. The original just got better! Some dishwashers feature the divided cutlery tray. Each part of the cutlery tray (which is divided 1/3 and 2/3) is individually removable. So when you need to, you can remove a section and place long stemmed glasses in the upper basket, leaning them safely against the glass supports on the left hand side. Then the rest of the cutlery tray can be filled as normal.
TAKING CUTLERY CARE TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Miele was the first manufacturer to introduce the cutlery tray in 1987. Now, for the first time in the new G 5000 range, Miele offers a third dimension.
Creating more space and flexibility, the 3D cutlery tray can be lowered in the centre to hold larger utensils such as ladles and spoons. In addition, the two side trays can be pushed together to give headroom either side for long-stemmed glasses or other tall items in the upper basket and still hold utensils in the central zone.
BASKET DESIGN
Miele's G 1000 range of dishwashers come with a cutlery basket and a height-adjustable upper basket with a fixed row of spikes and drop down cup racks. A Vario insert in lower basket is designed to take a variety of plates and bowls and a spiked insert in lower basket can be removed to make way for large pots and pans.
ExtraComfort Baskets
Available in the entry line G 5000 models, ExtraComfort baskets are engineered to maximise the space available and give flexibility of loading. They feature a standard cutlery tray and fixed cup racks and spikes in the height-adjustable upper basket.
In the lower basket, features include fixed and hinged spikes as well as a height adjustable glass rail and a fixed MultiComfort zone with enough space for plates to be stacked 3 across a row. ExtraComfort baskets also have white handles with the Miele logo for easier handling.
HighComfort Baskets
Mid-range G 5000 models offer HighComfort baskets that can be tailored to suit the load and include the new 3D cutlery tray. This features a central channel that can be lowered to accommodate larger utensils, and the side trays can be moved aside to create extra headroom for tall items in the upper basket.

The upper basket has hinged spikes and cup racks and a height adjustable rail for glassware. A jumbo cup-rack provides space for over-sized cups in XXL models. In the lower basket, new features include 2 height adjustable glass rails and a fixed MultiComfort zone with drop down spikes that provides enough space for plates to be stacked 3 across a row. HighComfort baskets also have white handles with the Miele logo for easier handling.
