Bag or Bagless?

The other main feature of cleaners today is decide whether to purchase a traditional bag or bagless model made famous by the Dyson sensational entry into the marketplace just over ten years ago. The benefits of the new bagless models are obvious in cost and also as claimed by Dyson to maintain suction whether or not in need of emptying. The bagged variety however have become more sophisticated and cannot be discounted. All Miele cleaners for example use bags to contain the vacuumed dirt and dust which can be easily taken out and disposed without any mess and fuss. There is no cleaner, easier way to dispose of dust for example than Miele's self-sealing dustbags. As the full bag is removed from the cleaner, a flap automatically closes across the opening so the dust remains hygienically in the bag as it is taken to the dustbin. It's bags more convenient with bags less mess!

Vacuum Cleaners

bullet pointThere are two main types of Cleaner, the Upright and the Cylinder.
bullet pointThe Upright Cleaner is maybe easier for people with bad backs and good for quick vacuuming of large areas as well as now being able to vacuum stairs through the use of long flexible hosing.
bullet pointThe cylinder cleaner can tackle all sorts of jobs – carpets, hard floors, upholstery, curtains, skirting boards, shelves … What's more, they are extremely manoeuvrable so can vacuum under beds, up the stairs and even clean out the car!
Our customers usually have a sense of preference towards either one type or the other.
bullet pointThere are however a number of simarlities.
Look out for a powerful motor. Cleaners just a few years ago were thought most efficient if the motor was larger than 400watts.
Today don't consider buying anything less than 1600 watts. The difference in operating costs is negligible but the increased performance is obvious.

bullet pointA good filter system also makes good sense in ensuring the exhausted air is as clean as possible and not contaminated with microscopic dust and dirt molecules that would otherwise remain deep within your carpet. Look for cleaners with a S class filter to offer additional protection. A HEPA hospital filter is also encouraged for anyone likely to be affected by allegies or pollen. Cat and Dog owners should think of insisting on a carbon filter such as that found in the Miele Cat and Dog cylinder cleaner. This model which incidently is amongst one of our most popular models utilises such a filtration system to ensure that animal hair and fur does not smell when vacuumed from the floor. Many customers have been very thankful that this one purchase has made such a difference to their home!
