The helpful concept of a Recommended Retail Price was abolished in September 1998 on most domestic appliances, so we calculate our selling prices by applying a competitive mark up percentage to agreed manufacturers' cost prices. Most major credit cards are acceptable (bar American Express or Diner Club International), or you can pay by sending a cheque payable to 'Carters Domestic Appliances'.
We make great efforts to ensure that product details shown on this website are accurate, but like all retailers, we have to rely upon information and stock availability from the manufacturers. We are unable to offer catalogues or brochures as our products and prices fluctuate almost every day

WHERE DO YOU FIND US?
We have been trading since 1987, originally from our store in Sussex Road, Haywards Heath. Subsequent expansion has seen additional stores in Southwick Square, Southwick, near Shoreham, Medwin Walk, Horsham opposite Boots ,Church Walk in Burgess Hill our superstore in Preston Road, Brighton just 80 yards north of Preston Circus which is considered the largest store of its type in the South East. Our 37,500sq ft warehouse is situated in Storrington,our Service Department in Hove as well as our brand new store in Worthing This store originally under the banner of "Barkers Domestic Appliances" can trace its roots back to 1906...more than 100 years ago. Customers can be assured that Carters offer similar virtues to them, being a local based independent company that places great enthasis on customer care. Our latest store is in Storrington being a retail outlet to our warehouse facility that offers traditional sales and service features as well as cash and carry deals to lower prices even more.

We also offer our customers the ability to have their existing appliances that are out of guarantee serviced, repaired and maintained by our sister company

Extended Warranties
Additional cover can be obtained direct from the manufacturer or through us. We can offer extended warranty insurance through RETRA, a well trusted domestic appliance trade association.

We constantly monitor market fluctuations and attempt to stock the most popular items at the competitive prices. In an effort to offer our customers the best value possible, our sales team are in day to day conversation with relevant manufacturers. As a result our prices may change at any time up or down on a daily basis.

Connection We do operate a free basic connection service for non gas appliances such as washing machines, cookers and refrigeration at the time of delivery for customers in our area. This service is perfectly satisfactory for most of our customers but will not be completed if extreme difficulty is experienced.
