Responsible Disposal. Carters Committment to "Green" Policies

bullet pointFrom 1st July 2007 the UK must comply with the requirements of the European WEEE Directive which requires the collection and recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

bullet pointTo meet these requirements of the directive we are a member of the Valpak WEEE
Distributor scheme in full accordance with The Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations SI 2006 No. 3289
Our Registration ID is 3749

bullet pointUnder the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) regulations, distributors (defined by as a business supplying Electronic Equipment to the public) are required to either provide waste collection systems for all types of equipment that they supply or join a scheme such as the "Valpak WEEE Distributor scheme". In this way we have contributed funds which will be used to enhance the UK's network of WEE collection points (known as Designated Collection Facilities-DCFs), which will predominantly be based at council Household Waste Recycling Centres.

Where to find your local Designated Collection Facility
